The work of Vacuum Pump

A Refrigeration Vacuum Pump is modified in three respects. The bypass line which runs between the charging house and the check valve must be cut off and the ends sealed. The pump will then produce a vacuum of one millimeter if the check valve is open and the strainer is not wet with oil. The check valve opens automatically when the pressure in the system is above three millimeters. The pressure will not drop below 10 millimeters if the strainer is wet with oil. Oil can be removed from the strainer and the check valve opened by permitting air to flow through the pump for a few minutes prior to connecting the unit to the vacuum system. The screen may be removed, but great care must be exercised thereafter to prevent dirt or foreign material from entering the pump. To make this modification, cut the intake line about an inch away from the charging house. Use a tube cutter, not a hacksaw, or particles from the saw will almost certainly find their way into the pump and cause it to stall. Bend the cut tube out of the way, then dig the strainer from the opening by means of a small hook made from a nail or steel wire. Inspect the opening carefully and remove all stray wires of the screen by means of tweezers. Cap the opening with a short length of rubber tubing and close the end with a pinch clamp.

Evacuation of refrigerating system

When a refrigeration system is assembled it must be carefully evacuated (remove air from the system), before it is charged with refrigerant. This is necessary to achieve a good repair result. The main purpose of the evacuation is to reduce the amount of non-condensable gasses (NCG) in the system, and secondarily a limited drying will take place.
    Moisture in the system may cause ice blocking, reaction with the refrigerant, ageing of the oil, acceleration of oxidation processes and hydrolysis with insulation materials.
Non-condensable gasses (NCG) in a refrigeration system may mean increased condensing pressure and thus greater risk of coking processes and a higher energy consumption. The content of NCG must be kept below 1 vol. percent. The evacuation may be done in different ways depending on the volume conditions on the suction and discharge side of the system. If evaporator and compressor have a large volume one-sided evacuation may be used, otherwise double-sided evacuation is recommended.
One-sided evacuation is made through the compressor process tube but this method means slightly worse vacuum and slightly higher content of NCG. From the discharge side of the refrigeration system the air must be removed through the capillary tube, which results in a substantial restriction. The result will be a higher pressure on the discharge side than on the suction side.
    The main factor for the NCG content after evacuation is the equalized pressure in the system, which is determined by the distribution of volumes.

The differences between RTM Welding Torch and other band welding torch in the safety

Low gas flow rate will directly lead to the reduce of the amount of air inhaled (ie, oxygen), finally result in incomplete combustion, and forming carbon monoxide, reducing thermal efficiency, and increasing gas consumption.(RTM company’s RTM-027 torch nozzle design flow rate> 50m / s).

2 Valve switch part:

RTM company‘s RTM-027 torch has a reaction spring after the valve core switch in the valve. Even if the valve core don’t reset smoothly due to a variety of complex reasons, it can be force off by the spring. Regardless of whether the valve is closed or not, when to release button, the gas channel will be cut off reliably, to achieve the purposes of safe use.

Products of other brands which similar in appearance and function in the market rely solely on the valve inside work spring to reset. The ability to cope with complex conditions is weaker than RTM-027 torch (valve core can not be reset will lead the flame can’t die out after release the button).
